The Loss That Started It All
Billie had always been around horses. She led 4-H horse groups, showed horses, and spent decades trail riding and helping young riders learn. But when her mare colicked, all that experience couldn’t save her. What she remembers most is the helpless feeling of watching a horse she loved in pain and not having the one thing that could have made a difference.
That’s when she made a promise to herself: no one else should have to go through that.

Turning Heartbreak Into Hope
Billie tracked down the woman who created Equine Colic Relief, a horsewoman from Texas, who had also lost a horse to colic and worked with friends, including veterinarians and chemists, to develop a formula that truly worked. When that woman passed away, her husband continued making the product and still ships it to Billie today. From her home base in the U.S., she’s helped thousands of horse owners keep this lifesaving product on hand.
